THE NORTH IS ON THE MARCH

The North Is On The March

It may have taken a few years but attention in the UK property market is finally shifting from London. It has taken a major dip in the prices in the capital and for the rest of the country to show a steady improvement, but you are now starting to see articles in the major media outlets about how the rest of the country is outperforming London. At Spencer Harvey, we have long known the power of the North and we believe that properties in Stockport and Greater Manchester have a lot to offer.

In information compiled by Hometrack, a property analyst group, property prices in London rose y 1.6% in March. When you consider many of the predictions made for London property prices, this performance isn’t that bad, but it fares badly in comparison with major towns and cities when you move northwards from the capital.

Manchester has performed well in 2018

In the UK, Edinburgh appears to have fared strongly with an increase of 8.8% in property prices. Nottingham is next on the list with a rise of 8% and then you have Manchester, which witnessed a rise of 7.4%. This is all the indication you need to know that Manchester prices are on the rise and that it could be a good time to sell up in you have been considering moving.

We help you achieve your property aims

At Spencer Harvey, we aim to help people achieve their property aims and ambitions and we know that for many people, this means selling quickly and for a fair price. There is a lot more daydreaming about buying a new home but if you must sell your property, there is a need to be realistic about what is important. Selling your home is often the key to taking the next step in your property ambitions.

When it comes to connectivity, it is hard to argue with what Stockport offers. If you time the trains right, you can be in the heart of Manchester in around 10 minutes and when it comes to travelling to the big smoke, you can arrive in London two hours after setting off. There is a lot to like about local life in Stockport, but you’ll also find it is easy to get around from this Northern base. The realisation that London doesn’t cater for everyone is starting to dawn on some in the media and hopefully, the property markets will show this.

We are fully committed to the Stockport property market and whatever you want to achieve here, we are behind you.
