The survey took the thoughts and opinions of over 17,000 people in the local area and while we may quibble with the individual placings, we cannot argue with Stockport being ranked in the Top 5 happies places to live in Greater Manchester.
The Top 5 run-down is as follows:
1. Wirral
2. Chester
3. Bury
4. Stockport
5. Warrington
With Manchester all the way down in thirteenth place and Liverpool sitting in eleventh, Stockport has come out on top of a number of big names and you’ll find that plenty of local folk will agree with these findings. Even though there is a lot of construction work taking place in and around Stockport, this is a positive sign because it indicates that the area is on the up. We take great pride in the positive changes that are happening in Stockport at the moment and we think this poll indicates the local public are in agreement.
With areas like Salford, Trafford, Bolton and Rochdale not finding a space in the Top 15, this is a clear indicator that Stockport is an enjoyable place to live and that the local people like what is on offer. It has been quite a year for Stockport and it isn’t over yet, and of course, 2018 may get even more exciting than this year!
